Assignments: Week #2

Reading:
  • Monday: Section 2.3.
  • Wednesday: Sections 2.1.
  • Friday: Section 2.4. Also, Section 2.8.

Exercises:
  • Wednesday: Online Assignment - Week #2, due at 11:00pm.
  • Friday: Written Assignment - Week #2 , due in class or in your TA's mailbox by 3:20pm.
    1. Section 2.2 #23. In addition to finding the minimum, determine the domain of the solution.
    2. Section 2.2 #30. Only do parts (a) through (e). Skip part (f).
    3. Section 2.3 #6.

A few of you have asked me technical questions about WileyPLUS. I've done my best to answer them and will continue to do so. You might also want to try the WileyPLUS support site. The URL I was given was http://www.wileyplus.com/support, but that seems to redirect to http://wileyplus.custhelp.com/app/. You can submit a question, or you can use their live chat service to resolve problems in a timely manner.

Online assignments are due by 11:00pm on the indicated day. Written homework may be turned in before or after class on the due day, or may be placed in your TA's mailbox before 3:20pm on that day. The TA's mailboxes are in the Math Department office, WEH 6113.

Please make sure your homework includes the following:

  1. Your name (on every page if you ignore #4.),
  2. Your recitation section,
  3. References for any source you use, aside from the text, the Wiley Plus site and your class notes.
  4. The names of those students with whom you have collaborated,
  5. a staple.
