    3. (a) Find the solution to the differential equation y''+y= Σk=120(-1)k+1 δ(t-kπ/2;) subject to the initial conditions y(0)=0 and y'(0)=0.
      (b) sketch a plot of the solution for 0<t<10.
      (c) Give an interpretation of the results in terms of the behavior of a mass-spring system being struck with a hammer.

Homework may be turned in before or after class on Friday, or may be placed in your TA's mailbox before 3:20pm on Friday. The TA's mailboxes are in the Math Department office, WEH 6113.
