Title: Statistics and Topology

Abstract: Topologists and computer scientists have developed tools for finding topological structure in datasets. This has given birth to a new field called Topological Data Analysis (TDA). But a crucial aspect of any form data analysis is to rigorously quantify uncertainty. I'll show how modern statistical ideas can be used to separate signal from noise in TDA.
