Energy Minimization via Competing Short- and Long-Range Interactions

Abstract: We will present analytical and numerical work on minimizers of two functionals which are prototypes for energy driven pattern formation induced by competing short- and long-range interactions. These functionals are linked to the modeling of self assembly of diblock copolymers.
