Jon Herrmann begins a new DST election

Back

Ladies and gentlemen-

In light of recent events, it is my responsibility to begin an election for DST.

Would there be an objection to a short time call for applications (one week)? If there are objections, or even a preference that we use the full two week time as a call for applications, then I will gladly do so, but if you, as a Domain, feel that one week is sufficient, then I will move ahead apace. If everyone seems to be comfortable with it, then I propose that we open the call for applications immediately- starting 7 May- and close applications at 11:59 PM on 13 May, announcing applicants and beginning discussion immediately thereafter. Discussion would then run until the 20th of May, with discussion closing at 11:59 on 20 May and voting opening at midnight on 21 May. Voting would run from 21 May through 11:59 PM on 27 May, with results announced as soon thereafter as all ballots can be reconciled.

I do not wish to initiate such a schedule unless the Domain is in agreement with it, though. Are there any who would prefer the longer election process?

Thank you,
