Don,

> 1- Strauss writes something in a terribly insulting tone to the MST

> 3- Jason points out that Strauss (once you peel off the fat) brings up
> a good point about the direction of the Global Chronicle
> 4- The MST gets mad at Jason too and demands apologies
> 5- Nothing happens for a while
> 6- Jason is fired by the MST (which is, apparently, within his right

That's not quite right.

  1. Strauss politely criticizes one of the MST's actions
  2. Jason supports Strauss' position
  3. The MST demands retractions from both of them
  4. The MST writes an insulting e-mail to both of them threatening to fire them
  5. Strauss writes an insulting response to the MST
  6. Jason is fired by the MST

I think it's rather important to note that Strauss' original comments were polite and appropriate (although still critical), and it was only after the MST's e-mail threatening to fire him that Strauss responded, and even then in a tone no worse than the MST's.
