Rachael-
As I understand it, a good deal of the matter revolves around the actions of Mike Strauss, who acted as ADST-Resources under Jason's direction. Some of the items referred to are Mr. Strauss' actions, for which Jason was held accountable (as per the MH section on 'Assistants', p. 46- "It is important to note, however, that while authority may be delegated, responsibility always remains with the primary officer.") In this case, Mr. Strauss performed some of these actions, and Jason was viewed as not only taking no steps to correct these actions, but instead supporting them. Therefore, Jason (as DST) was held accountable for the actions of his ADST. As I understand it, one of the directives from senior ST's that Jason didn't follow was to persuade Mr. Strauss to avoid these objectionable behaviors. At least, that's my understanding of the matter.
As far as additional explanation at conventions, I think (again, my understanding, so if I misspeak, then I'll ask Alex to correct my statements) that Alex was saying that it is sometimes easier to make a point clearly in person than through email. Per Camarilla policy, Alex is not fully at liberty to disclose everything about a disciplinary action, and asking him to do so puts him in a no-win situation of either ignoring the policy or appearing to be hiding something. So, I believe that Alex is trying to arrange a face-to-face where he can present as much as possible, in context, in a means and location where direct interaction can help prevent any misunderstandings, such as can arise through email.
That's the deal, to the best of my knowledge- hope it helps...
