Ladies and gentlemen-
As requested, the explanation from the MST regarding Jason's removal:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey there.
I was asked by a few people to explain what took place. There's no actual obligation to do so (from what I can tell), but I'm more than happy to do so anyway.
First a few caveats: some of the information regarding the removal is confidential. I simply can't talk about it, and I believe it would also be unethical to display all the damning evidence of improper conduct to smear somebody else.
That being said, there were ten points cited in the removal letter; most of them referred to breath-takingly unprofessional conduct and breaches of confidentiality, failure to deal with instructions from superior officers, ignoring confirmations from the coordinator chain, etc. When a coordinator confirms the propriety of an ongoing process from the ST chain, your response simply shouldn't be to insult the coordinator or to invoke innumerable other grievances that you have that are immaterial to the issues discussed.
Similarly, when engaging in discussion with other officers regarding ongoing approvals and confidential storytelling processes as well as engaging in outright hostile communication, sending those replies via blind carbon copy to your entire Domain without notifying the STs involved is simply unacceptable.
The sort of behaviour that would most likely get you fired (and probably sued) in any professional work environment isn't acceptable in the Camarilla either.
I'm sure some people may still have an issue with this, especially as I can't divulge everything; suffice to say that the other STs in the chain as well as my superior coordinator were constantly involved in the process, and that I verified the appropriateness of the actions taken with my coordinator before taking them. Naturally this won't stop the allegations of 'abuse of power,' so I am very much open to talk to any member of the Domain in person if they want to ask me questions or discuss it at any point. I will be at Neglect in Chicago, DragonCon in Atlanta as well as of course ICC.
Pull me aside and I'll tell you everything I can.
Regards,
Alex
