I can't really say much about why anything happened - I'm just here to
speak for myself and my perception of how the Council handled things.
We could argue about whether "a" is interpreted the way you did, or
whether Jason's email on 4/22/05 constitutes a defense, but it would
be much easier if you directed the question towards a perspective I'm
directly involved with.

Can you still file a grievance? Well, grievances haven't been defined
in Cam policy for longer than I've been a member, but you can
definitely talk to Alex's supervisor (Charles Bailey) about your
concerns if you like. I probably should mention, though, that you
wouldn't be the first to do so (not by a longshot), and having
*everyone* approach him on the same issue is probably a little
redundant.
