First, it seems that Yahoogroups is not sending me emails, so I'm
copying from the web archive into email. Eww. Bear with me while I'm
slow.

It's probably easiest if I start with the draft of a letter that I
wrote, not knowing that D had already sent something out. Keep in
mind, though, that this was a DRAFT, and is much more indicative of my
own opinion than anyone else's.

First, let me apologive for the excessive time taken to complete this
appeal deliberation. A great many complicated issues have been a part
of it, and to be honest, we have not been as attentive to it as we
should have. A decision has finally been made, howerver.

The Camarilla Council has decided to modify the decision and to
provide a more complete explanation for why any disciplinary action
was warranted at all.

First, the decision to bar Jason Patton, US2002021281, from all
storyteller offices for a period of one year is hereby modified to be
for a period of six months. This period began on May 4, 2005, and will
will therefore end on Oct 4, 2005.

Second, while the majority of the actions listed in the original
disciplinary action letter did indeed apply only to Michael Strauss
and not Jason Patton, Jason did have the responsibility as a domain
storyteller to cooperate with the master storyteller's office.
Further, he bears some responsibility to ensure that his assistants
likewise cooperate with other storytellers in the club. The Camarilla
Council feels that these responsibilities were not upheld, and as
such, a period of time without holding an office with such
responsibilities is appropriate.

We apologize for the failure of the club's officers to accurately and
effectively communicate the reasons for the disciplinary action and
hope that this explanation helps to clear the waters.
