I understand there are some questions about the reasoning behind the
recent Camarilla Council decision over your DST's appeal. Since Jason
has explicitly indicated that he prefers a public discussion on the
matter, and since you have some questions, I'm dropping by to answer
them as best I can. First, though, I want to make my expectations
clear.
First, I'm here to speak for myself. That's only 1 vote out of 6
Council members (well, 5 with the NFA position vacant), and other
Council members may have different opinions, but hopefully it gives
you at least an idea of what we were thinking. If anything I say even
remotely seems like it's speaking for the Council as a whole, remember
that I'm not and reread it in that light.
Second, I'm here to answer questions, and I'll do so to the best of my
ability, but remember that I'm only human, and I only have so much
time during a given day. If my schedule gets wacky, I may no respond
for a day or so - please don't freak out. I'll try to reply to
everything. In return, please read ahead and see if your question has
already been asked so I can concentrate on answering each one only
once.
Last, please try to stay constructive, and remember that your opinion
is not the only valid opinion in the world. I know that there are
multiple philosophies to hold, and different approaches to take to
just about everything, and several other than my own are very valid
ways to deal with stuff. When there is more than one approach to take,
though, we do have to pick one, and that comes down to personal
judgement. Try to focus on whether it's *reasonable,* not just whether
you would do the same.
So, that said, what are the big questions? (And remember that I just
joined, and haven't read the archives, so assume I have no context at
all.)
