  1. Homework 1 is due this thursday, January 20.
  2. Test 1, scheduled for this Friday Jan 28, will cover sections 4.9, 11.1-11.3.
  3. To prepare for Test 1, please redo the suggested and homework problems for sections 4.9, 11.1-11.3. Here are few more problems: 61, 63 (Page 363), and 1-7, 9, 15, 16, 27-29 (Page 787).
  4. Test 1 will have 6 problems: 1 problem on section 4.9, 2 problems on section 11.1, and 3 problems on sections 11.2-11.3.
  5. The Final exam is scheduled for Friday March 4, from 8:30 to 11:30 in DH 2210.
  6. Test 2 is scheduled for this coming monday, February 21. It will cover sections 11.4-11.8. To prepare for it, please redo the suggested problems and homework problems of these sections. Here are few more problems: 11, 13, 18, 21, 41, 43 from Page 787.
  7. Test 2 will have 5 problems: Problem 1 has 4 questions, problem 2 has 2 questions, problems 3 has 3 questions, problem 4 has 2 questions, and problem 5 has 1 question.
  8. For those of you who arranged with me on taking the final exam earlier, it will be on Thursday March 3, from 3:00-6:00 pm, in PH A19A. Please email me to confirm that you'll make it.
  9. The Final exam will cover all the sections studied in this course: 4.9, 11.1-11.10 and 11.12. Books, notes and claculators are not permitted. You are only allowed to bring a one-page help sheet (only the front page). About 1/3 of the exam will be on the last 3 sections covered in the course: 11.9, 11.10 and 11.12. The rest of the exam will cover the previous sections 4.9, 11.1-11.8. To prepare for the exam, you can proceed as follows. First redo the suggested and homework problems of sections 11.1, 11.10 and 11.12 on the course webpage. Then, redo the problems from tests 1 and 2, and if time permitted, review few suggested and homework problems from the previous sections 4.9, 11.1-11.8. Here are more practice problems on sections 11.9, 11.10 and 11.12: 45, 49, 51, 55, 57(a)(c), 59(a)(c) on page 788.
  10. Please bring your student I.D or any form of I.D in the final exam room DH 2210 tomorrow . The exam is scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30.
