One or two-hour talks will also be delivered by other speakers from "local" institutions including Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, and Penn State University.

Topics will include:

Transport equation and Cauchy problem for BV vector fields
Phase transitions in liquid crystals
Mass transport problems
Plate and membrane theories derived from nonlinear elasticity by Gamma-convergence
Higher order variational problems
