Abstract: A volume of fluid rests at the interface between two other fluids, and the configuration is assumed to be in equilibrium. Known results are discussed, including methods from numerical analysis, theory of functions of bounded variation, and estimates on solutions to differential equations. Many open problems will also be illustrated with the numerical results.
