A Geometric Level-Set Formulation of a Plasma-Sheath Interface

This talk is based on joint work with M. Feldman and S.-Y. Ha. In this talk, I will present a new geometric level-set formulation of a plasma-sheath interface arising in the plasma physics. After deriving the explicit dynamics of the interface from the Euler-Poisson equations, we will study the local-time evolution of the interface and sheath in some special cases.
