It's set in an alternate version of Pittsburgh, where those in the know can follow secret passages to "the cracks," the hidden places where another society lives along side mundane Pittsburgh. Here, people still remember ancient magical rituals and possess unusual knacks that set them apart from ordinary people. Creatures of legend lurk here also--from undead intelligent enough to ally with to monstrous animals long forgotten elsewhere. The players take the part of the key figures in this other society, defending themselves from outside enemies and fighting among themselves for the precious ambrosia which let's them reach their superhuman potential.
