Announcement of Test 2

Test 2 will be given in Recitation on Tuesday, October 17, 2000.  It will be closed-book and
closed-notes.  Calculators will not be permitted.

Test Coverage: Sections 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.10, 3.11, 4.1. You should know the derivatives
of sin, cos, tan, inverse sin, inverse cos, and inverse tan, as well as the derivatives of logs and
exponential functions with base e. You should also know the values of sin and cos at integer
multiples of pi over 2. You will be provided with trig identities, the change of base formula for logs,
and the values of trig functions at angles that are not integer multiples of pi over 2, if needed.
You should know the basic properties of rectangles, triangles, and circles in the plane, as well as
the properties of rectangular boxes in space. Geometric formulas for other figures will be provided
if needed.

There will be a Review Session on Monday October 16 at 7:30 PM in Porter Hall 100.
