You are cordially invited to attend an event to celebrate a new partnership and Pittsburgh-wide (and beyond) effort for all to collaborate around how we make mathematics more accessible, relevant and interesting to all our students, but particularly students from historically marginalized groups. We are looking forward to working across institutions to challenge and grow our thinking about the mathematics education of our underserved populations.

This will be an excellent opportunity for participants and friends of the project to meet one another and to hear more about this exciting, engaging experience. It is also an opportunity to display the collaboration between institutions and individuals interested in this effort.

Agenda:

4:30 – 5:00      Cocktail reception
5:00 – 5:30      Welcoming remarks and motivation
5:30 – 6:20      Keynote speaker, Dr. Nathaniel Dean - Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas State University
6:20 – 6:30      Wrap-up
6:30 – 7:00      Dessert

All events to be held in the Rashid Auditorium (and foyer) of the Gates-Hillman Center at Carnegie Mellon

We hope that you consider joining us for this exciting opportunity!

Sincerely,

The Leadership Team of DEbT-M
