Stochastic Stokes Drift: Development and Aasymptotic Behavior of Fronts

Abstract: A periodic travelling potential acting on an assembly of Brownian particles induces a net drift of particles. This is so called Stochastic Stokes Drift. In this talk I will discuss the dynamics of the Fokker-Planck equation for the probability density of the particles. I will describe the initial stage of the development of the fronts as well as their asymptotic long time limit.
