Title: Sticky Diffusion as the Homogenized Limit of Trap Models

Abstract: We consider the homogenization of the classical double porosity model from the probabilistic perspective. We begin by introducing a graph model (comb model) which captures the core behavior of the double porosity model and computing the homogenized limit (in the sense of weak convergence of stochastic processes). Then we extend the study to the "fat comb" which is a 2d version of the previous model. We end by discussing what we believe to be the result for the full double porosity model and how we aim to prove it. In all these cases, the limiting process is a Brownian motion in the macroscopic domain subordinated to the local time of a sticky diffusion in the microscopic domain.
