Title: Self-similar and discretely self-similar solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations

Abstract: Self-similar solutions are an important class of solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations with a history going back to Leray. Until recently, their existence was only known for small or smooth data. In this talk we will discuss recent constructions of self-similar solutions (and generalizations) which allow the data to be large and non-smooth.
