Thierry De Pauw Universite' Paris Diderot Title: Existence and regularity for the Plateau problem : Classical resutls and recent developments Abstract: I will explain two models for the Plateau problem in Euclidean space, one introduced by E.R. Reifenberg, the other due to H. Federer and W.H. Fleming. I will discuss existence issues in both settings and describe a recent positive result.
