Shock waves and transonic flows for the Euler equations


Some recent research progress on the multi-dimensonal compressible Euler equations will be reviewed. In particular, the evolution of singularity and the transonic flows past an obstacle such as an airfoil will be discussed. The talk will be based mainly on the joint work with Gui-Qiang Chen and Marshall Slemrod.
